Tip: How to TBES a crewmember in CrewTrac
A pairing cannot be assigned to a crew member that does not have the same status as the pairing (i.e., same base, position, equipment type). Normally, this would be a function you use sparingly. However, under these unprecedented conditions and with crew shortages, you may need to use crew members in a way that is outside of the norm. Here is some tips on how this function works: just in case you never used it before. So, for example, if you are assigning a CA to a FO pairing, CrewTrac will not allow you to do so using the normal procedures. So, in this situation, the crew member’s status only needs to be changed for a day or range of days.
First, in the crew member’s master schedule, right click on the appropriate day (outside of an activity) and select “Change TBES” from the menu.
NOTE: The day selected needs to be the start date of the pairing to be assigned.
Select the appropriate range of time and select the different base, position, or equipment type change for the particular range of time.
NOTE: The crew member can only be assigned to a position or equipment type they are already qualified for.
Click on the “OK” button to apply the change. The change will appear on the Master Schedule for the range of dates selected.
