Congratulations to one of our favorite customers, Endeavor Air. According to a recent press release, Delta has asked Endeavor to fly NCAA Charter Flights. Just in time for March Madness! “With the demand for travel typically low in January and February (even prior to COVID), charters are a good supplement for flying additional trips and earning revenue for Delta,” described on Endeavor’s blog, On The Fly (Endeavor Operates Charter Flights).
One of the challenges has been positioning the aircraft. “Our airplanes aren’t located at all of the universities’ hometowns, so we have to position airplanes from a base, usually from Detroit or Atlanta,” explained Mike Holcomb, Manager of Network Scheduling . “We will reposition the airplane to wherever the school is, and pick up the team and take them to the opposing school.”
Endeavor has definitely met the challenge making it a great experience for both both crew and passengers. “These charter flights are definitely a different environment. The players board the plane together and enjoy each other’s company – it’s more of a big family atmosphere,” said Kristen Robinson, FA, DTW.
