Over ten years ago, ELP Aviation was born in my bedroom. My wife Linda and I took out all the money we had in our 401 and decided we were going to make a go at it. I had 20+ years’ experience in the airline industry and my wife had 10 years’ experience as a college professor and creator of virtual classes for several colleges. So, we put our talents together and offered our customers aviation software consulting, simple and complex reporting tools, and custom e-learning materials.
Thanks to our loyal customers, we moved away from consulting and started to create new software solutions, every year getting more and more complex. Until one day, to my surprise, I have a full staff of developers and aviation experts in an office building I own and spanning over 2 continents, and an amazing suite of products that I wish I had when I worked in the trenches of an SOC. What an evolution!
But you know the saying, just as much as things change, they also stay the same. We have always been a family-owned company, that sees our customers as friends and colleagues. We care about their struggles and have an obsessive desire to solve their pain points. We are big enough now to solve any complex issue thrown at us, and small enough to still care like it is the only important issue that matters. We still enjoy a practical joke and a fun working atmosphere. We are excited for the future and make strides every year to revolutionize the airline industry.

ELP has a deep-rooted knowledge in the aviation industry with 30+ years of crew scheduling, crew training, and crew payroll hands-on experience. That is why the experts come to us for advice. We know aviation, we know software, and we think outside the box to solve complex problems other vendors walk-away from.
Before joining ELP, I had a background in software development and engineering. I have experience working with various technologies and frameworks, but my specialization is in MEAN stack development.
One of my favorite things I’ve learned about the aviation industry is how technology has revolutionized it. From rest regulations to Automated Crew Payroll software, the aviation industry heavily relies on advanced technological solutions to ensure safety, efficiency, and seamless operations.
Outside of work, I have a few hobbies that help me unwind and explore my creativity. I enjoy playing volley ball. I also like to stay active and engage in outdoor activities such as badminton and cycling. Additionally, I love exploring new technologies and keeping up with the latest trends in the software development industry.
When it comes to food, I have a weakness for a good plate of barbecue chicken. The smoky flavour, tender meat,
and delicious sauce make it an irresistible treat for me.
